what will happen if a normal guy increase his testosterone hormone level? what will happen if testosterone level amount is high in a man's body?

SSgt/USMC replied: "Mood swings, depression, anger, small "PP", build muscle faster. Dude, someone said you won't ever feel depressed.....maybe for some but depression affects alot of people who take steroids, so if I were you, you should really research a little more than listen to us."

Andrew M replied: "well normally hair would be thicker and that there would be a lot more of it, and maybe your voice might get deeper. but i am not sure what would happen if you were to increase your testosterone levels but if you are going to do it only do it a little as if you do it too much there might be consequences"

boring replied: "Acne, increased muscle mass, more hair on the back and butt, and a more elevated mood (basically, you won't ever feel depressed) but are more irritable. If the testosterone is being supplied to the body rather than taking something that stimulates natural production, the testicles will shrink as they only get as big as they are to produce more testosterone. If you take that function away, they don't need to be as big as they are."

robert y replied: "If you plan on going that route - I would advise doing it under a doctor's supervision. You are treading on dangerous & unknown territory if you have self diagnosed yourself."

Ashille replied: "If it is naturally high, he will be aggressive, violent, always horny, loads of hair, etc If he takes supplement of testosterone artificially, his penis would shrink and become small and he could build more muscles if he works out a lot!"

Space replied: "Your nuts will shrink to the size of grapes:mood swings hair growing all over the place etc Would not do that. Space"

What does it mean if a man has low/normal testosterone levels? My husband had bloodwork done to see if he has low testosterone. He only has one functioning testicle (one was severed in motorcylce accident at age 16) and he has shown symptoms of low testosterone for a couple years now. He has no sex drive & feels tired and lazy a lot. The doctor said his testerosterone results show he has low levels but is still in the normal range. The doctor wasn't concerned since he's still in the normal range and didn't suggest any treatment. A couple people have told me even if it is in the normal range it can still cause the problems he is experiencing since it's in the lower end of the normal range. Anyone know anything about hormone levels and can you tell me what you'd do in this case? I'd really like my husband to get back his sex drive AND his energy! Thanks!

The Educ8r replied: "you've basically answered your question about the symptoms. now to increase his testosterone he can take some Saw Palmetto berries and herb, Damiana, Nettle, Zinc, Magnesium."

pdooma replied: "Low/normal testosterone is obviously affecting him despite his doctor's opinion. Time to have a second opinion done. See if perhaps temporary testosterone supplementation helps the problem. If so, great. If not, it's time to look at other sources of his lack of sex drive as well as his tiredness. BTW, depression, depression medications, and thyroid problems can also cause those symptoms. It's good to rule those out as well. Good luck."

Are these normal hormone levels? I just got my test results back for my hormone levels during the luteal phase: Progesterone: 8.51 Estrogen II: 71 Testosterone: 45 My doc. says my progesterone is borderline but all these showed w/ in normal range. Is this correct?

bmxchic7 replied: "Check with web MD. Can't be sure because you don't say what meds you are on, age, etc."

Could this be right? Normal testosterone levels in males? My husband has been having a couple of issues lately. He went to the dr. and had some blood work done. The dr. said his testosterone level is low....44! I looked up normal ranges for a 33 year old man and it was like 800. How does this happen??? She has him putting some kind of hormone gel every morning now. He is totally freaked out about this!

Smiles replied: "idk"

:) replied: "The doc never gave him a solution?"

Connor replied: "It's okay, he just is having a hormone problem right now. It sometimes can be fixed with hormone therapy. He shouldn't feel bad or less of a man because he has to use the gel. It will fix his problem, tell him not to worry. -Connor"

Kimberley F replied: "Gimme a c...C Gimme an o...O Gimme an n...N Gimme an n...N Gimme an o...O Gimme an r...R -Kim"

whole_feelings replied: "With the age the testosterone levels decrease normally. But in your case they were too low really. Know, testosterone levels are depending on life-style too while smoking, stress and sedentary life make worse the situation."

Butch W replied: "he should tell the dr he wants shots the gels hardly ever work"

normal hormone levels? What are the normal hormone levels for a woman in her 20s? I had a blood test last week, have the results back which show i have to much testosterone. I have an appoitment this afternoon to discuss the results, hope all goes well!! Does anyone know what the hormone levels are? I was day 19 of my cycle when i had the test.

chic replied: "These hormone levels are different for everyone and i believe the range is large when working out what is normal. But I can tell you that high levels of testosterone normally indicates that you have pcos or are overweight."

what should the normal woman hormone levels be ????? please hlep? HI im wondering what the normal woman hormone levels should be like the fsh and LH and estrogen and testosterone etc to not have problams conceiving i have been trying to conceive and nothing yet i recently did a hormone test and i dont understand it Please advise someone

Miranda S replied: "I'm not sure but how did you test for that? Just curious because I have been trying for a long time too and I would like to try it. Please e-mail me Thank you"

Erika G replied: "The lab results from your doctor should have the normal ranges. Ask for a copy of your results for your own records next time you see your doctor."

Is there any truth to this? Hormone levels in correspondence to being lesbian? can having higher than normal levels of testosterone make a woman lesbian or bisexual? I was told that might be the reason I've found I'm bisexual even though I'm married. I have pcos and that causes higher than average levels of testosterone.

Honey Bear replied: "No. Whoever told you that doesnt understand how hormones work. Increased levels of testosterone may contribute to a woman feeling more masculine, but there has to be a gender issue present as well, eg butch, transgender. And since many FTM transguys are gay (meaning they like other men) therefore this theory about T levels and lesbianism has no basis. Its rubbish, basically."

tbird replied: "Why figure out hormonally what comes naturally...I'm lesbian with a very high libido for my partner but I don't find I'm shaving more than usual and I certainly can't pee standing up."

Nut B replied: "Nope. We are currently trying to conceive (lesbian couple) and my hormone levels are in no way different from a heterosexual woman's"

Poet replied: "there is no correlation between higher levels of testosterone in any of the gay ladies i know. I do know some straight women who have a pretty hefty dose of T though."

Are my hormone levels normal? Hello, I had my hormones tested because I'm a 22 year old female and I have acne and very little volume in my skin. I also have what appears to be premature aging with fine lines sagging and discoloration and photo sensitivity. I heard hormones can cause this in some people. Also, I don't know if the two are related I also have cognitive problems with my memory, attention, and depression, poor judgment. Making daily activities extremely diffucult to complete. My endocrinologist said my results were all normal but I heard sometimes they don't read them right. I didn't think I was suppose to eat because of the glucose and insulin tests so I hadn't eaten until the evening before these tests were taken so my stomach was pretty empty that morning. I'm not sure if the effects all the results or not. Here they are: Glucose fasting: Me: 89 Reference range: 70-99 (that my doctor was going by) Units: mg/dL Cortisol: Me: 6.5 REF. range: AM 6-23 PM 2-12 units: ug/dL ACTH: Me: 14 REF. range: 5-46 units: pg/mL Insulin, serum: Me: 6.0 REF. range: 1.9-23 Units: uIU/mL Testosterone LC: Me: 27 REF. range: 11-59 Postmenopausal: 6-25 units: ng/dL Any information is appreciated. Thanks! Thanks for replying! Last March a dermatologist did some tests and some of the things she tested were Thyroid. TSH: 0.630 Ref. range : 0.40-4.6 uIU/ML Free T4: 0.91 Ref. range: 0.61-1.12 ng/dl

palos replied: "did he test your thyroid?"

My testosterone levels are twice what they should What should I do? I am going to see a hormone specialist wed, but what will they do? all my hormones checked out ok but my testosterone is twice what it should be, I want to get pregnant, anyone know what meds they will try to get my hormones normal, and help me have kids???

Computer Tech Mike replied: "Give some to me"

Sαмміе replied: "They will most likely put you on the pill. If you're overweight, they will probably suggest a Low GI diet."

How can I lower my testosterone levels? I am a 20.2 year old boy. I am 5'7 1/2" tall and weigh 122 lbs. I would like to know is, how can I reduce my hormone levels? I had them checked 5 years ago when I was 15, and I was about the same height and weight, and testosterone was <200 and estrogen was higher than that level. I got it checked again last week and testosterone is 450 (normal range) and estrogen is lower than that level. How can I restore my hormonal levels to the way it was 5 years ago. I looked better and felt better than than I do now. And also, I am not transexual or anything. I seriously would like to know. Please help. Thank you.

Whisper from the Myst replied: "This might seem like a hard thing to do but ask your doctor; unless someone comes on here with an MD I would suggest asking a medical expert for safe ways to do that."

The Gay Rabbi replied: "The only way that I know of would be to get estrogen treatments, but then again you aren't a transexual or anything. Just wait - I have high testosterone levels myself, and my doctor said tha with age they will lower theirselves."

mtfradgal replied: "Well the best thing would be a simple testosterone blocker such as Spironolactone. Your body will still produce T, but a lot of it will be blocked from actually being used. because it is always tricky when playing with hormone levels I would speak to an endocrinologist about this. Just got one question: How do you know it's the T that's causing your problem?"
